We welcomed our son into the world at 1:52am on September 10th. He weighed 7lbs 13oz, was 21 inches long and had a head circumference of 13 inches. We haven't decided on a name yet.

Logan Alexander was born on Tuesday, July 13th at 10:35pm weighing 8lbs 12oz and measuring 21 inches. He is perfect.

The reason I've been so slow to update is because he was born via c-section and recovery from the surgery has been difficult, to say the least. But we are home and settled and I can finally share my birth story...

Finley Étienne and Genevieve Madeleine! (Finn and Vieve for short)

Naturally born 12:37pm and 12:41pm on Saturday 12 September, at 5lb4 and 5lb10 after 5.5 hours of labour and 3 pushes. 36w5d.

I posted last week about being induced on Tuesday, but my body had other ideas.

I just had my first doctor appointment today. I am transitioning care from my group of midwives to a family practice doctor who is very supportive of my desire to VBAC. She's worked with my midwives before, and I'm going to have one midwife at the birth who is going to act as my doula ( Read more... )
